Pets IP Workshop

This full-day workshop satisfies all the requirements for the Pets IP and gives you helpful tools for considering Girl Scout Silver and Girl Scout Gold Award projects. In this workshop, the girls will gain an understanding of humane issues and responsible pet ownership concepts, which will lead them to develop positive values. In addition, the girls will learn how the treatment of animals has an impact on the community, both locally and globally. The girls will create posters about environmental hazards and pet ownership laws, which can be used to educate and inspire people in their community to be more responsible pet owners. The girls will consider humane values in an effort to inspire them to be humane advocates in their community, and in the global community. There will be interactive games to challenge their understanding of the materials, and they will work on humane-themed craft projects, which Sparky's Pals will donate to animal rescue organizations, to complete the volunteering requirement.
