Junior Pet Care Badge Workshop

This workshop, which meets the requirements for the Pet Care Badge, teaches girls to have positive values by emphasizing humane treatment of animals and the need to reduce the pet overpopulation crisis in their community. In addition, the girls will learn how their actions towards animals impact the people in their community, both locally and globally. By understanding the basic needs of animals, they will learn how they can identify unmet needs in their community and educate and inspire others to meet those needs. The girls will create two posters, which they can use to educate others in their community about the need for vaccinations to prevent diseases and how to read dog body language to know whether a dog is safe or unsafe to approach.
